Laura Pels, O.D.
About Dr. Pels
Dr. Pels and her husband have lived in Coppell since 1983. In 1991, she began her private practice career in Coppell, Texas. She believes her career in optometry has provided her with a wonderful opportunity to help others with their visual needs, while also having the flexibility of raising her three children. As a Therapeutic Optometrist, Dr. Pels specializes in contact lens fittings and many aspects of primary care optometry. She takes great pride in utilizing the time with her patients to address and correct their visual concerns in both a professional and personal way.
Dr. Pels enjoys traveling, socializing with good friends, being part of the community, and spending time with her ever-growing family. Enjoying life, both in and out of the office, and making good memories is what Dr. Pels believes is important.

Sandra Elston, O.D.
About Dr. Elston
Dr. Elston is a Therapeutic Optometrist who has been in practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2000 and has especially enjoyed working in the Coppell community alongside Dr. Laura Pels since 2003. Dr. Elston believes that the simple act of listening to her patients is the most important part of the examination process, and the fact that she is able to help patients in such a direct and immediate way is most rewarding to her.
Dr. Elston’s role involves more than just collecting data and constructing eyeglass prescriptions. More importantly, she formulates a plan to address her patients’ needs and concerns to improve their vision experience. Dr. Elston strongly believes in treating others as she would want to be treated, and she places honor and respect as critical elements in all that she does.
In her free time, Dr. Elston thoroughly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an avid crafter, a do-it-yourselfer, and a proud mom who cheers a little too loudly at her daughter’s volleyball games and her son’s baseball games. Dr. Elston says that her career helps to keep her mind sharp, and her family keeps her soul happy.

Prior to starting optometry school, Dr. Cutler served in the U.S. Navy and worked in the defense and aerospace industry. Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Cutler moved to Texas to be closer to his family.
Dr. Cutler says his favorite parts of being an optometrist are both the immediate results of helping a patient to see better and hearing all the great stories of their lives.
Outside the office, Dr. Cutler enjoys playing guitar, water sports and snowboarding.

Clint Meyer, O.D.
About Dr. Meyer
Clint Meyer, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1985 where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Optometry. Dr. Meyer is Texas Board certified in the treatment of eye disease as well as the co‑management of glaucoma and laser vision correction.
Dr. Meyer specializes in treating computer vision syndrome (CVS), pediatric eye exams, and hard-to-fit contact lenses. In addition, Dr. Meyer treats eye injuries and performs diabetic eye health evaluations. To provide the highest level of eyecare, he enjoys getting to know each of his patients and creating long-term relationships to better understand and treat their visual needs.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Meyer enjoys relaxing and spending time with his wife and their dogs. His hobbies include playing guitar, gardening, traveling, and playing golf.
Emily Wang, O.D.
About Dr. Wang
Emily Wang, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2022 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from University of Texas at Austin in 2018.
Dr. Wang specializes in primary care, glaucoma, diabetes, ocular disease, contact lenses, and pediatrics. Growing up, Dr. Wang went through her own eye care journey as she began wearing glasses and contact lenses in elementary school. This journey sparked Dr. Wang’s fascination with the wide scope of methods for eye care and vision correction, which led to her becoming an optometrist. Dr. Wang loves the meeting and interacting with patients every day, while also helping them maximize their days with clear vision.
In Dr. Wang’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being active outdoors soaking up the sunny weather, trying new foods, and hanging out with her cat MooMoo.

About Dr. Brooks
Dr. Brooks is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, an associate member-in-process for fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and a member of the Sports Vision Section of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Brooks graduated with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry after graduating from Baylor University with a degree in biology.
Dr. Brooks has been honored to receive the “Best of the Best” Optometrist distinction for the past six years. Dr. Brooks and his wife, Amy, have been married for 21 years and have four children. He is a member of Church at the Cross and is privileged to serve their church family as an Elder. To relax, he enjoys kayaking, woodworking, and guitar.

Branon Marsh, O.D.
About Dr. Marsh
Dr. Branon Marsh is originally from Amarillo, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1995. He is a 2000 graduate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. “We take our responsibilities as health care providers very seriously, and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve the community here in Southlake and the surrounding areas. We strive to provide an unmatched eye care experience. Our patients should leave knowing their eyes have never been in better hands.” Dr. Branon Marsh has completed externships in both refractive surgery and ocular disease. He enjoys golf and spending leisure time in Colorado fly fishing and snow skiing.

Dr. Carol Ann Marsh is originally from Bonham, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Optometric Science from the University of Houston. She is a Class of 1999 graduate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. “Quality health care is about more than just results. It is also about patient relationships. We want to provide the highest level of diagnostic accuracy, while also developing relationships with our patients and their families that can stand the test of time.” Dr. Carol Ann Marsh has completed externships in corneal and retinal disease as well as refractive surgery. In her free time, Dr. Carol Ann enjoys exercising and shopping.

About Dr. Osibanjo
Dr. Osibanjo focuses on comprehensive medical optometry including managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts. She is board certified in use of diagnostic and therapeutic agents to manage and treat ocular diseases.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting, and spending quality time with family and friends. Dr. Osibanjo has a passion for exceptional patient care and looks forward to improving her patient’s vision and overall health.
Paul G. Middleton, O.D
About Paul G. Middleton
Paul G. Middleton, O.D was born in Brady, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Middleton completed his clinical externships at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia and at the Eyecare and Surgery Center of North Texas in Dallas, Texas. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston, Houston, Texas. Dr. Middleton enjoys all aspects of optometry, but he maintains particular interest in pediatric vision, anterior segment pathology, and contact lens fittings. Dr. Middleton is also extensively trained in preoperative and postoperative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients, including all types of intraocular lenses as well as LASIK procedures. Dr. Middleton is married to Jennifer and is the proud father of two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, cycling, and watching Texas Aggie football.

Janet Ogletree, O.D.
About Dr. Ogletree
Therapeutic Optometrist, Dr. Janet Ogletree grew up in Plano, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Baylor University in 1995 and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1999. Dr. Ogletree is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Ogletree is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. She is a past president of the Northeast Texas Optometric Society.
Dr. Ogletree currently resides in Lantana. In her free time, Dr. Ogletree likes to travel and spend time with her family.

Dr. Kelly Visentine is a native Texan and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech University. She attended Southern California College of Optometry, receiving her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1993.

Dr. Tyler Zellers is a certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. He is originally from Amarillo, Texas, where he studied primarily Molecular Biology and Human Physiology at West Texas A&M. He later attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was active in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Zellers has been serving the DFW area since 2013, and he is passionate about helping people with the latest technology, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lens fitting. About Dr. Trusty
Dr. Kelby Trusty graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, in 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, a Dean’s List graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. Prior to establishing a private practice in Denton, Texas, Dr. Trusty was an Optometrist Clinician at the Cataract Eye Institute in Houston, Texas and an optometrist at Cornea Associates of Texas.
In 1991, Dr. Trusty established Total Eyecare & Eyewear Gallery. He has been in practice in Denton for more the 20 years and has gained extensive experience in primary optometric care, medical management of eye disease, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. In addition, Dr. Trusty serves as a Clinical Investigator for Bausch & Lomb and Polymer Technology and as sports vision practitioner for Texas Woman’s University and The University of North Texas.

About Dr. Coleman
Dr. Heath Coleman received his Doctor of Optometry summa cum laude from Northeastern State University’s College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Furthermore, Dr. Coleman received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Coleman graduated with many achievements during his college career and was actively involved in several volunteer organizations such as School Vision Screenings, American Optometric Student Association, and Special Olympics. He also completed an externship in refractive surgery at Advanced Laser Center and is very passionate about providing each patient with the highest quality of eyecare.
In practice since 2011, Dr. Coleman has always been amazed by what can be diagnosed by looking in a person’s eyes. He believes they really are a window to the health of the entire body. Dr. Coleman enjoys helping people see and feel better and says it is especially exciting to watch a person’s reaction after getting their first correction as they experience seeing clearly for the first time.
Outside of the office, Dr. Coleman enjoys spending time bass fishing, bow hunting, and attending various sporting events.

Ibrahim Qattan, O.D.
About Dr. Qattan
Dr. Ibrahim Qattan received his Doctor of Optometry in 2017 from Southern College of Optometry in Tennessee and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Qattan was involved in school vision screenings, the National Optometric Student Association, and led a Remote Area Medical (RAM) group to provide free eye exams to people in need. He also completed his externship at the Corpus Christi Naval Base serving our service men and women and their families.
Dr. Qattan has been practicing optometry since 2017, the past three years being in Denton County. His special fields of interest include pediatric eye exams and specialty contact lens fittings.
Dr. Qattan chose a career in optometry to help people see their best and says he especially enjoys interacting with his patients and helping them see more clearly with the aid of glasses or contact lenses.

Tarun Gandhi, OD
Dr. Tarun Gandhi received his Doctor of Optometry, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston in 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Gandhi completed his externship training at the Naval Health Clinic in Quantico, VA, and Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Gandhi, whose field specialties include management of eye disease, ortho-k, specialty contact lens fitting, and pediatric exams, has been in practice since 2009. As a student in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Dr. Gandhi got the opportunity to shadow an optometrist in his community. About Dr. Kirkland
Dr. Kirkland graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1981. In 1985 he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee. He is also licensed in Therapeutic Optometry and is certified in glaucoma and oral medicine. While working at a lasik surgery center, he performed over 25,000 pre and post op exams. Dr. Kirkland opened Legacy Vision in 2003 and has built a large and loyal patient base that continues to grow each and every year. He has been practicing in the Plano area since 1995. He is committed to giving his patients the best care using the most current state of the art technology available. He is a member of the TOA, AOA, Plano Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Kirkland enjoys spending time with wife Nancy, a Nurse Practitioner and his step-son Brent. Sylvianne Youngblood, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston in 2019 and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Southern Methodist University in 2014.
Dr. Youngblood specializes in vision therapy. Her personal experience with vision impairment issues led her to become an optometrist as she believes it important to have your vision work for you instead of against you. Through vision and education, Dr. Youngblood works to enhance the quality of life for her patients. Dr. Youngblood believes her mission in life is to provide comprehensive vision treatment to children and adults.
Dr. Youngblood is passionate about helping her patients and making sure they know how much she truly cares about their visual health. Haley Vasilko, O.D.
About Dr. Vasilko
Haley Vasilko, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2020, and earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University.
Dr. Vasilko always had a desire for a career in the medical field. She recalls an amazing optometrist who treated her with such kindness and care, and who would always answer her many questions when she was growing up. That experience made her want to be just like him. While she did consider other areas in the medical field, she always came back to optometry.
Dr. Vasilko loves being a primary care provider because it allows her to build strong relationships with her patients year after year. She has always been interested in treating the eyes of children and special needs patients. She also appreciates that she can have a very comfortable work-life balance.
In her time away from the office, Dr. Vasilko enjoys spending time outdoors with her boyfriend and their German shepherd, as well as cooking, reading, and trying new restaurants. She is also an ice hockey fan who supports and cheers for her Pittsburgh Penguins.

About Dr. Contaldi
Mario J. Contaldi, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 1984, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairfield University in Connecticut. He is certified by the National Board of Examiners in the treatment and management of ocular disease and glaucoma in the states of Texas, Tennessee, and California.
Dr. Contaldi is member of the American Optometric Association. He is past President of the Texas Optometric Association and past President of the Tarrant Country Optometric Society.
Dr. Contaldi began practicing optometry in 1984 and founded Southwest Vision Center in 1998. His desire to help people see better led him to choose a career in optometry. Over the years, he has worked continuously to provide the best eyecare to his patients and their families. He is focused on serving his patients so their vision is preserved for their entire lives.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Contaldi is a passionate sports fan, music lover, as well as an exercise fanatic. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing the drums, and riding motorcycles.

About Dr. Hernandez
After graduation, Dr. Hernandez spent the first few years of her career completing multiple clinical internships. She has written multiple publications and wrote her first award winning book, My Spanish Speaking Patient that has provided her with the opportunity to travel around the United States and Latin America. When deciding where to begin her career, Texas was her first choice.
In 1999 she opened her practice Garland Vision Center. She belongs to many medical and optometric societies. She currently maintains membership in TOA, American Optometric Association (AOA) and North Texas Latin American Physician Association.
She is fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys traveling and Yoga. Above all her accomplishments, her greatest honor has been being a mother to her two daughters Caly and Camille.
While under Dr. Hernandez care, you will find a friendly smile, kind demeanor and attention to detail that makes her loved by patients.

Brittany Martin, O.D.
About Dr. Martin
Dr. Martin attended the University of Louisiana where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where she completed her Doctorate of optometry. Throughout her years there, she received many accolades including clinical excellence awards and academic scholarships.
Dr. Martin completed clinical externships at a Dallas community clinic and a medical-based practice in San Antonio. This is where she grew a passion for treating and managing ocular pathology and conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. She was a volunteer on a mission trip to Guerrero, Mexico where she assisted in performing hundreds of eye exams and surgeries to local residents. Dr. Martin plans to return and volunteer at the Guerrero clinic often throughout her career.
After graduation, Dr. Martin decided to stay in Texas and move to Dallas. She spent the first few years of her career in private practice and providing relief work throughout the DFW area. She then began her practice with Dr. Hernandez at Garland Vision Center. Dr. Martin belongs to many medical and optometric societies. She currently holds membership in Texas Optometric Association (TOA), American Optometric Association (AOA), and North East Texas Optometric Society (NETOS).
Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband and her white German Shepherd rescue dog, Pearl. She loves traveling, spending time with family, watching football (Go Saints!), and working on house renovations.

About Dr. Lanier
Dr. Lanier enjoys serving people in the health care field and says he considered many other avenues in health care before ultimately choosing optometry. As an optometrist, he gets to operate in so many capacities within the well-patient care model, as well as the medical-surgical eyecare arena. Dr. Lanier believes optometrists have a vast variety of ways in which they can impact the visual health and wellbeing of all patients, both young and old, throughout their entire lives.
Dr. Lanier particularly loves the life-long relationships he develops with the members of his community. While he gets to do a lot of cool stuff as an eye doctor and the doctoring is fun and rewarding, he says it’s the relationships built over the years that he really finds invaluable.
When Dr. Lanier is not treating patients, he says that having family time is always the best. They all enjoy college sports, especially TCU baseball & football. In addition, he enjoys participating in trap & skeet shooting. While doing yardwork might sound boring to most people, he loves keeping a great yard…but it certainly helps that his wife has a green thumb!

Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Evansville. His special field of interest is low vision.
As a result of growing up with an older brother who is blind, Dr. Wilhelmus had the desire to become an optometrist. He wanted a career in a field that allowed him to help people with their vision. Dr. Wilhelmus finds it most rewarding to help people improve their eyesight and maintain good eye health.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Wilhelmus enjoys traveling.
