Dr. Pui Tran earned his Bachelor Degree in Biology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his Optometric Doctorate degree at the University of Houston. Dr. Tran has completed an internship at The Eye Center of Texas (ECT) in Houston, TX where he performed surgical co-management of pre and post-operative cataract and refractive surgical cases alongside one of the top 100 Lasik surgeons in the U.S. During his internship he was able to improve his skills in managing and diagnosing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and many more anterior and posterior diseases.
Dr. Tran also had the honor of interning at The Randolph Airforce Base in San Antonio, TX servicing our fellow military members.
Dr. Tran’s goal is to give his patients the most complete care by practicing full scope Optometry with his Optometric Therapeutic license alongside his Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certification. Dr. Tran’s enjoys bringing relief to patients with advanced dry and ocular allergies along with complicated contact lens fits of all sizes. He understands that all patients have a choice when it comes to eye care; therefore he does his absolute best when he is privileged with the opportunity to care for his community.
Dr. Tran is an active member of the Dallas County Optometric Society, American Optometric Association, and Texas Optometric Association. He speaks English, Vietnamese, and Spanish, but would like to add even more languages to his repertoire. In his free time, Dr. Tran likes to workout, snowboard, and hang out with his English Bulldog, Mr. Pants.
