Contact Lenses

Our contact lens department orders contact lenses from all manufacturers, thereby insuring the best possible fit for the patient. We offer free trials to all our new fits and to patients who purchase the lenses from our office. Manufacturer rebates are available on many purchases, along with an office discount on specific orders. We will ship an annual supply of contact lenses to you for no extra charge.

Your objective spectacle prescription is first measured using an Auto-Refractor. It is then downloaded onto a plastic card and transferred to a wireless, infrared, remote-controlled refraction system. This system provides a convenient, yet more precise determination of your final refractive error so that glasses and/or contact lenses can be prescribed.

The Humphrey FDT Perimeter provides a fast and clinically verified means of detecting early visual field loss as a result of various ocular and systemic conditions.

The optomap ultra-wide digital retinal imaging system captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image. Traditional methods usually reveal 10-12% at one time. The unique optomap (OPTOS) enhances our ability to detect even the earliest sign of systemic disease that presents on your retina, as well as potentially sight-threatening ocular conditions. This includes: diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, hypertension, macular degeneration, melanoma, retinal hole, retinal tear, and retinal detachment. Seeing most of the retina at once allows us more time to review your images and educate you about your eye health. It is a safe, quick, painless procedure that requires no dilation of the eyes. The optomap then provides us with a baseline comparison for years to come.

The Optovue OCT provides the newest technology available today for Retina, Optic Nerve, and Cornea imaging. It is instrumental in the diagnosis of Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Retinal and Optic Nerve Disorders, Corneal Dystrophies, etc. By performing 26,000 scans per second, this technology provides a 3-Dimensional MRI type image that allows access to the retina and optic nerve that cannot be viewed by other means. This often allows for more accurate diagnoses and better treatment strategies.
